Over 800 events will take place: from the new ChocolateCulture@Host23, and the first Panettone World Team Championship, to competitions and championships, and the Smart exhibition area.
With the opening of the fair fast approaching, new details are emerging for the programme of events at Host 2023, at fieramilano in Rho from Friday 13 to Tuesday 17 October.
The latest news concerns ChocolateCulture@Host23 (see article in this newsletter), and also the Panettone World Team Championship organised by the Academy of Masters of Mother Yeast and Italian Panettone, whose national finalists in the first edition have just been revealed: Argentina, France, Germany, Japan, Italy, Poland, Spain and Taiwan. Italy will be represented by yeast masters Claudio Gatti, Aniello di Caprio, Giuseppe Mascolo and Beniamino Bazzoli.
The great international pastry chefs return as guests of Iginio Massari
Not that any of the more than 800 events deserve to be missed. Especially the Smart Label – Host Innovation Award, promoted by HostMilano and Fiera Milano in partnership with POLI.design and sponsored by ADI – Italy’s Industrial Design Association: the 26 winning products, selected more no fewer than 157 nominations, will go on display in the dedicated SMART Label area. The Design Talks are also of great interest, featuring discussions on topics ranging from sustainability and technology to space well-being and sensory experiences.
All eyes will also once again be on Luxury Pastry in the World by Iginio Massari, the key event for the most creative and innovative pastry ideas, with the participation of over 20 Italian and international pastry chefs: Michel Belen Albi, Markus Bohr, Pierre Marcolini, François Stahl and Andrea Zanin, to name just a few.
Masters ‘live’ for every interest
The experts will also be busy in the show-cooking and tasting sessions, and in the demonstrations of Food Service Equipment and Bakery, Pizza, Pasta, and courses organised by the partner associations APCI (the Professional Association of Italian Chefs), A.P.Pa.Fre. (the Association of Fresh Pasta SMEs) and FIC – (the Italian Chefs Federation. Be sure to catch the updates from FIPE (the Italian Federation of Public Establishments) and FCSI as well as the Food-Technology Lounge organised by ANIMA Confindustria Meccanica Varia with its associations and EFCEM Italia.
Also returning this year are the big competitions and championships in the Bars, Coffee and Gelato-Pastry sectors, from gelato to cake design and coffee tiramisu in its countless variations, and latte art, in an "itinerant" format among the stands with Coffee Addition.
