An increasingly international Host 2025 supports global industry growth

Global food service equipment was worth $35.8 billion in 2023 and will rise to $74.4 billion by 2035. In this scenario, HostMilano confirms itself as a key driver of innovation.

At least 40 languages will be heard at fieramilano in Milan-Rho at the next edition of HostMilano, from 17 to 21 October, 2025. So many are the countries of the more than 900 exhibitors already registered, almost half of them international (44 percent, about 400) from the five continents. To date, the most represented countries are confirmed to be, in order, Spain, Germany, France, the USA and the Netherlands.

In fact, HostMilano is increasingly international, ready to meet the challenges of professional hospitality, away-from-home and food retail. Food service equipment alone – a major strength of the event – is estimated by Allied Market Research at $35.8 billion globally in 2023 and will double to $74.4 billion by 2035, thanks to a CAGR of 6.3 percent. The most popular product types include cooking systems, followed by storage and processing systems and refrigeration systems.

In this international scenario, Italy keeps leading the way. According to Assofoodtec data, with more than 3 billion euros in 2023, exports accounted for more than 60 percent of the €4.55 billion turnover of the Italian food technology industry.

‘Eating out’ as quality time, traceability of raw materials and healthiness also when eating out, as well as digitization – more than 80 percent of venues in Italy, says Confcommercio, have introduced one or more innovative solutions – are the trends that help adopt technologies meeting new consumer demands.

Host 2025 will support this innovation effort with its multi-sector exhibition concept, combining a comprehensive overview of professional hospitality with vertical insights into individual sectors, divided into three macro-areas: Food Service Equipment, Bakery Pizza Pasta; Coffee-Tea, Bars-Coffee Machines-Vending, Gelato-Pastry; Furniture-Technology and Tableware.

A highlight in the layout will be the consolidation of the MIPPP - Milano Pane Pizza Pasta area, also thanks to the partnership with Consorzio SIPAN, while the events schedule includes Smart Label - Host Innovation Award and the return to Milan of the World Barista Championship.
