The United States, one of Italy’s main trading partners, will boast a strong presence at HostMilano, not only among trade visitors, but also with exhibitors previewing their innovations here.
In a globalized world, trends can arise anywhere. But they become truly global always in the same place. A place where most often innovation becomes futuristic. Even in food equipment technologies, which, according to data by Ibis World, are worth more than $6.2 billion in professional cooking alone.
We’re talking about the United States, one of Italy’s main trading partners – the US alone accounts for more than 50 percent of the Italian foreign trade surplus (source: Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs) – and always at the forefront of countries attending HostMilano, in terms of both visitors and exhibitors. And the next edition will be no exception either.
According to Simon Parke-Davis, Vice President of Sales - EMEA at Alto-Shaam, “Operators increasingly need multipurpose equipment that provides flexibility and versatility and reduces duplication of operations. For example, the ability to cook multiple foods, can be cooked in the same oven, at the same time, without flavor transfer. Whether it's pizza, fish or cookies.”
Market inputs also matter, as Damien Hée, Director of Sales Europe at Conair, explained: “In addition to automation and robotics or smart equipment, factors such as the influence of social media, the rise of 'plant forward' diets, apps for online ordering and delivery, health and sustainability also have an impact. We are committed to reducing redundant activities and supporting inventory control or menu planning, but also social media promotion.”
“The consumer trends we see as influencers of foodservice technologies are health and wellness, sustainability, and increased efficiency and convenience for operators. We are among the leading manufacturers of foodservice and hospitality equipment, and we are always working to ensure that our brands and products keep up with trends and meet the needs of operators,” concluded Alexia Rouquette, Vice President of Marketing - Commercial Division at The Legacy Companies, which is present with the Greenfield brand.
To discover all the Made in USA innovation, the appointment is at Host 2025, at fieramilano in Milan-Rho from 17 to 21 October next year.
