Things kick off in Dubai, but that will be just the first stage on a journey that will take the International Hospitality Exhibition in various forms to a number of focus areas for the event in 2023: the Middle East, Canada, the USA and Latin America.
HostMilano is already on track with a series of investments on international markets. It has prepared a plan which in the next two years will include a varied series of events staged to introduce the outside world to the event, firstly in the three focus areas identified by the International Hospitality Exhibition: the Middle East, Canada, the United States and Latin America. It will then of course also turn its attention to Europe, which is Italy’s strongest and most loyal market, but also Asia, where a rebound in trade is expected.
So the process begins in Dubai, on 14 February at the Intercontinental Hotel Dubai Marina, where Assolombarda and Fiera Milano have organised a Networking Cocktail on the subject of “Market Opportunities in a Constant State of Ferment”. An important event that has seen the agri-food and hospitality sectors (through TUTTOFOOD and HostMilano) working systematically together in one of the most interesting markets: a hub and the point of entry for Italian products in the Middle East. Its importance is confirmed by some high-profile attendees: participants included Simona Greco, Group Owned Exhibitions Director of Fiera Milano, as well as Italy’s ambassador to the UAE Nicola Lener, Consul General Giuseppe Finocchiaro, Assolombarda Vicepresident Gianni Caimi, the head of ICE Roberto Luongo and the head of SACE Valerio Perinelli.
Assolombarda invited buyers and local businesses to meet Lombardy-based companies who lead the way in their respective segments and stand out for their innovative products and processes, while Fiera Milano involved local and international media, to whom it will present the 2023 editions of HostMilano TUTTOFOOD, which rank as international reference platforms for the Food & Beverage sector.
Thanks to the presence of innovative companies, leading institutional exponents and top management representatives, the cocktail will be a complete event, illustrating the importance of Dubai for Fiera Milano, and for Italian companies, as a focal point for the growth of international exchange on the most dynamic markets in Europe, Asia and the Middle East, reinforcing the role of the trade fair system as a tool for industrial policy and internationalisation.
But it is just the first stage in a process that will culminate in the 2023 trade fair itself. The last edition of HostMilano was a very international fair, attracting companies, buyers and visitors from 43 countries. And now it is gearing up for the next show ready to present all it has to offer to the world. Stay tuned!
