Barcelona is a city of trends, not only in the gastronomic sector, but also in other factors that involve this fact. And the decoration is one of them playing a very favorable point. Barcelona has great passion for interior design as an invisible but indelible mark of the culinary experience.
The decoration has crossed the tables Michelín but began in them. A very different decoration that we find in the restaurants of another of the national totems in terms of dressing restaurants refers: Lázaro Rosa Violán. There was a time when their premises emanated distinction, style and luxury. And then the expression "un Violán" became popular to refer to those spaces that, undoubtedly, had passed through the hand of the daring decorator. There are many in Madrid and Barcelona (from Can Vent, in Formentera, to the spectacular Soho House in Barcelona, or Chez Cocó or Street Xo by David Muñoz in El Corte Inglés). Striking designs, surprising, even baroque, where the visual harmony of excess is sought. None resembles another, but in all something he predicts that he is behind the hand of the most wanted designer in Spain.

For about five years some of the most charming restaurants in Madrid bear the seal of a woman's name: Marta Auyanet. Zen exoticism and tropical style in everything that touches this designer installed in the Chueca neighborhood. She is the author of the incredible Zaperoco and La Jefa look, her first project in Madrid, long before tropical restaurants like the Bananas del Born opened in Barcelona.
