From the dessert to the restaurant, the comments of the companies

From Babbi to Berto's, passing through Carpigani and Jordao, Host2021 was a winning bet. Between seeing old customers again and new prospects on the horizon.

A large turnout, with selected visitors and buyers from Europe, the Middle East and North America. Andrea Babbi, European Sales Manager for the Confectionery Sector of the company of the same name, has no doubts in giving positive feedback on the entire event. "I was partly expecting this type of turnout, I am aware that given the current situation, exhibitions will be more geo-localized for some time", he says, however, underlining how "some Asian buyers enter our market through their European correspondents". For this reason, the manager continues, "I would describe this event with three words: Italianness, in the sense that here we find the opportunity to present ourselves with the best of Made in Italy; tradition, which takes nothing away from innovation but which rediscovers its purest roots; excellence of supply and demand".

But the event was also an opportunity to conclude some contracts. "For our part, we have confirmed some orders, without exaggerating because there is still a lot of caution; the difficulties in finding raw materials are in any case pushing operators to anticipate requests, and therefore not to strictly respect seasonality as in the past'', explains Andrea Occari, CEO of Carpigani Horeca, who is surprised in any case to have seen among the pavilions of Rho Fiera "also some operators from the USA".

Mario Rodrigues, Jordao's Head of Marketing, also talks about a successful bet. “We have been here for the last ten editions, and once again we did not want to be outdone. Host is a trend setting event, a key marketplace for sector operators. For us it was an opportunity to see our historical customers in person and show the new products and innovations we have introduced. We managed to establish new partnerships with dealers from different countries, we met mainly operators from Europe and the Middle East, and we signed new contacts with operators in South America and met the buyers organized by the program of the exhibition".

All in all positive comments also from Giacomo Bettella, Marketing Manager of Berto's SpA, who, compared to other events, highlights how the atmosphere at Host is always business-oriented. “We have seen our historical customers again, and we met some new operators who are opening new premises”.
