From personalized wellness to sustainability to multi-sensory experiences: this is how amenities and sleeping solutions are changing hospitality. An evolution that is revealed in a preview at Host Milano.
What if you felt welcomed as if at home when you enter a hotel, thanks to details that speak of care, quality and attention? Today’s hospitality plays on subtle balances, where every detail contributes to making the stay a memorable experience. From green amenities to hi-tech bed solutions, new trends tell a story of research that is increasingly focused on customer well-being and all-round sustainability.
Amenities become protagonists of a stay experience that goes beyond mere courtesy. Single-dose products give way to eco-friendly solutions with refillable formats or designer dispensers, thus reducing the consumption of single-use plastic. At the same time, customization stands out with courtesy lines that adapt to guests' specific needs, offering tailored fragrances, textures and ingredients. There is no shortage of integration with technology, with smart beauty kits equipped with QR codes to access information or digital services.
“In the hospitality sector, the search for increasingly sustainable and high-performance solutions is constantly evolving,” explains Gianluigi Fornoni, CEO of Allegrini. “In professional detergents, Ecolabel-certified products are gaining more and more space, while in the cosmetics sector, sustainability is expressed by refillable dispensers in a variety of customizable designs, packaging in recycled and recyclable materials, and even waterless single-serve solid cosmetics. Innovation is key in this evolution: one example is our line of single-serve solid cosmetics, which are completely water-free, plastic-free and preservative-free.”
This focus on wellness and sustainability also extends to sleeping solutions, the heart of every living experience. High-tech mattresses adapt to posture and body temperature, ensuring personalized rest. The choice of materials also responds to a growing green sensibility, with natural fiber fillings and certified upholstery. Finally, modular and sectional solutions for beds and bed bases make it possible to optimize space and meet guests' customization needs, combining functionality and aesthetics.
“For a hotel, offering optimal rest means demonstrating special attention to the well-being of its guests. Sleeping well, in fact, is essential for our mental and physical health,” they comment from Simmons. “In compliance with fire regulations, and offering customizable bed solutions, the Natural Heritage line applies strict criteria of eco-sustainability: we use natural materials such as 100% natural cotton and pure virgin wool from South Tyrol for the fillings, or recycled materials, such as PET from plastic collected in the seas and harmonic steel wire from reclaimed iron materials. For safety, we also use elastic and resilient foams that are certified to use healthy and environmentally friendly materials.”
From amenities to sleep quality, the common thread is the search for hospitality that is increasingly attentive to the overall well-being of the guest, capable of integrating technology, design and sustainability in every detail.
