HostMilano, one year ahead of the 43rd edition

Preparations are in full swing for next year’s edition of the event, which will be held from 13 to 17 October 2023. Many top companies have already registered to take part, 45% of them from 40 foreign countries.

What does the future hold for the foodservice industry? Every two years HostMilano provides answers to that question and it will soon be revealing the latest eagerly-awaited trends. The emerging picture suggests a future of long-term innovation, as can be seen in the products and services that won the SmartLabel Host Innovation Award, ones that offer a glimpse not so much of today’s world as of tomorrow’s.

After a hugely successful year for hospitality and out-of-home eating, one that demonstrated how resilient the sector is, and just how much it matters to the public at large, it is now time to look ahead. Because the world has changed. Companies are indeed looking ahead: many are working on new solutions that quite literally ‘cater to’ changed consumer and purchasing habits.

This was already seen at the last edition of HostMilano held in October 2021, which saw the return of a sector that was emerging from a period of great uncertainty, with over 110,000 visitors from 144 countries descending on Milan from all five continents in search of new ideas and sneak previews, but also to get all the very latest up-to-date and authoritative information that would give them a very much-needed sense of what the future holds.

HostMilano is not just the leading fair that offers the very best in Ho.Re.Ca and retail equipment. It is not only an unmissable business platform, but is also the perfect place to present and share facts, figures and research results, to watch and take part in international competitions, hundreds of training events and in-depth discussions and to find out about all the latest trends.

What makes HostMilano one of the most popular fairs of its kind is the fact that it covers all the different aspects of hospitality, with three macro areas: Professional Foodservice, Bakery, Pizza and Pasta; Coffee, Tea, Bar, Coffee Machines, Vending, Gelato and Pastry; Furnishings, Technology and Tableware. An ideal situation at a time in which hybridisation between sectors has become the norm, and indeed a necessity.
