Thanks in particular to the presence of SIC - Salone Internazionale del Caffè, HostMilano is the world reference for the entire supply chain: from beans to machines, to accessories and store layouts.
From gourmet coffees, fermented in barrique barrels like great wines, to frozen coffee as an alternative to roasting, to maintain the original scent of beans; or from Cold Brew, Espresso or Kombucha coffee-based cocktails to cold-brewed coffee mixes – for example, with tonic water in the Espresso Tonic – all innovations are showcased at HostMilano first.
That’s why after Toronto, where Host 2025 met with the Canadian food service market, the second stop along the Road to Host journey to the next edition is Chicago where, in addition to the food service market, Host 2025 has also met with the coffee supply chain.
In fact, the United States remains the world’s leading away-from-home market, both as a forerunner in new trends, and for its size. Fortune Business Insights, for example, forecasts the U.S. out-of-home dining market will grow in the next few years from $905.13 billion in 2023 to $1,767.54 billion in 2030, thus surpassing not only the trillion barrier, but also the 1.5 trillion threshold.
In turn, the value of the U.S. coffee market is estimated by Research & Markets to be worth $28.06 billion in 2024 and is expected to reach $33.64 billion by 2029, growing by 3.69 percent over the period. This exponential growth is due to changes in consumer lifestyles. With increasingly busy schedules and long working hours, the popularity of coffee shop chains is growing, while American consumers increasingly prioritize premium products.
An all-round quality that also reflects in a focus on design, that will be front and center at HostMilano thanks to Smart Label - Host Innovation Award, dedicated to innovation in professional hospitality, and promoted by HostMilano and Fiera Milano in partnership with POLI.design with the sponsorship of ADI – Italian Association for Industrial Design. At Host 2025 Smart Label returns for its seventh edition, increasingly seen as an international reference that attests to a company’s ability to innovate, thanks to its focus on three categories that reflect cutting-edge research in the industry: the ‘classic’ Smart Label will award products with a particularly characterizing innovative content; Innovation Smart Label is the recognition for breakthrough innovation that overtakes established trends; Green Smart Label will be awarded to products with distinctive features in reference to energy saving, environmental compatibility and eco-sustainability.
Keep following us to learn about the next steps, monitoring and promoting innovation and new trends in the world ahead of the next edition of the event, at fieramilano in Milan-Rho from October 17 through 21, 2025.
