Eyes on the Italian coffee Grand Prix, Wlags Battle and Coffee Audition at Sic.
A truly complete panorama is given by the schedule of the coffee macro-area, which every two years brings to Milan the best of the supply chain, filling the dedicated pavilions with the unmistakable aroma of coffee and animating it with a whirlwind of events. In addition to the latest innovations designed by companies to face the "new market", in the Coffee, Tea, Bar, Coffee Machines, Vending area, which accounts for 33% of the total number of exhibitors, the spotlight will be on the entire supply chain: from raw material to roasting, from grinders to espresso machines, Cold Brew and filter, from vending to cup, to get to the finished product in all its forms, including large-scale distribution thanks to the simultaneous development of TUTTOFOOD, the reference hub for agri-food ecosystem. Without forgetting the synergies with the related and complementary worlds of pastry and ice cream, catering and table furniture.
In addition to the three 2021 World Barista Championship, World Brewers Cup and World Cup Tasters Championship, the area will see unique competitions and events, capable of attracting the interest of the media and professionals.
An unmissable event is back at Host21 which sees the best aspiring baristas of Italy compete at the VII° Grand Prix of the Italian coffee shop, organized by Aicaf Accademia Italiana Maestri del caffè and ALTOGA, the National Association of Coffee Roasters and Importers of Coffee and Food Wholesalers. The semifinal will take place on 22 October, followed by the final on 23 October with the seven competitors who will compete for the Grand Prize that will decide the Best Italian Coffee Master 2021.
Great is the interest, also in view of restarting and building customer loyalty at the bar, towards Latte Art. Also this discipline, to which HostMilano has always paid the right attention, returns on 24 October with the II Italian Latte Art Grading Championship, with the winners who will be admitted to the second edition of the Wlags Battle (World Latte Art Grading System Battle) to be held the following day; up for grabs, the prize for the most precise bartender in making the patterns as required by the rules of the competition, which last year was revised to make the competition even more linear and exciting. All by Latte art Grading System and ALTOGA.
Innovation, trends, synergies: all this is Coffee Adition - The itinerary event and coffee tasting corner, organized by Aicaf and ALTOGA; a traveling event among the pavilions of the fair led by Gianni Cocco, ready to discover new recipes between coffee, chocolate, cocoa, spices and other local ingredients.
An indispensable pit stop for visitors will then be the Coffee Corner of Aicaf and ALTOGA, where espresso and other preparations will be prepared in a continuous cycle, with different blends and single origins to cheer the palates of the customers.
