The three SCA championships, the Latte Art World Championships and the Italian Coffee Grand Prix, Iginio Massari and the luxury pastry shop, the best tiramisu in the world are just some of the hundreds of events that will animate the dedicated pavilions.
The hundreds of events on the agenda in the pavilions dedicated to Sic, the historic International Coffee Show, Pastry and Gelato will unfold among the aromas released by coffee and the delightful scents of pastry, welcomed by the new flavors of ice cream. Between performances and national and international competitions in the presence of the great pastry chefs, bartenders, latte artists and masters of ice cream, chocolate and pastry, the level this year is really very high.
Starting with an important novelty: the SCA 2021 World Barista Championship (WBC), World Brewers Cup (WBrC) and World Cup Tasters Championship (WCTC), organized by the Specialty Coffee Association. Three events in the event that confirm the centrality of Host2021 in the restart of the sector. If the World Barista Championship focuses on the profession of the barista by involving a world audience in a championship that represents the culmination of local and regional events, the World Brewers Cup highlights the art of manual preparation of filtered coffee, today also in Italy a important moment of the offer at the bar, which integrates the preparation of traditional espresso. Finally, the World Cuptasters Championship rewards the professional coffee cupper who demonstrates speed, skill and precision in distinguishing taste differences in specialty coffees.
In short, at Sic this year the adrenaline will flow freely, also thanks to the II Italian Latte Art Grading Championship organized by Latte art Grading System and ALTOGA National Association of Coffee Roasters and Importers of Coffee and Food Wholesalers. The winners will be admitted to the second edition of the Wlags Battle (World Latte Art Grading System Battle) which will also be held in HostMilano. The VII° Grand Prix of the Italian coffee shop is also back, curated by Aicaf - Italian Academy of Coffee Masters and ALTOGA. After the success of the last edition, the Coffee Addition format - The itinerary event and coffee tasting corner, curated by Aicaf and ALTOGA, also replicates; a traveling event in the halls of the fair that will make use of the innovative flair of Gianni Cocco, ready to discover new recipes between coffee, chocolate, cocoa, spices and local ingredients.
If the coffee celebrates, the dessert is no exception. Here the event not to be missed will be "Luxury Pastry in the World" by Iginio Massari, the concept created by the Master of Masters that brings together the biggest names in the sweet world at a global level to discuss its future evolutions.
To stay in the world of pastry, FIPGC International Federation of Pastry, Ice Cream and Chocolate will be the engine of the Tiramisu World Championship, one of the best-known Italian recipes abroad, and of the FIPGC International Pastry Award. But also of the new format The best Pastry Chefs in the World, during which 18 world champions will have their say on the future of pastry. Also on the agenda is the second edition of Contest School, the initiative promoted by FIPGC in collaboration with the Ministry of Education and hotel institutions.
The “sweetest” program of the event is closed by the Art Gallery, with over 200 works on display by Italian and international pastry chefs.
To expand the networking opportunities there will then be Expo Plaza, a virtual appendix that guarantees the online presence of the catalogs, allowing you to organize open agendas and pre-set appointments with the selected exhibitors.
