The Italian Espresso Institute (IEI) is exhibiting at Host from 13 to 17 October with a booth dedicated to the promotion of Italian coffee culture (Hall 24P, V21 Z22).
In the Italian Espresso Game area, IEI proposes a game with the sensory analysis of different styles of espresso. Visitors can try different regional styles offered in collaboration with IIAC - International Institute of Coffee Tasters (Iiac).
The international semi-finals of the barista competition Espresso Italiano Champion 2023 are held on Saturday 14th, followed by the final on Sunday 15th. Professionals from different countries compete to make perfect espressos and cappuccinos. This year they not only have to demonstrate their ability to the technical and sensory judges (who operate in blind mode) but also to the marketing judges by telling their story and their product.
All the activities carried out by IEI at Host are supported by Rancilio Group with its espresso machines Specialty RS1 (IEI Premium certified) and by Eureka with its grinders Helios and Atom.
IEI, which includes roasters, manufacturers of espresso machines and grinders and other companies in the supply chain, protects and promotes the culture of quality Italian espresso and cappuccino. Today it has 36 member companies with an aggregate turnover of around 700 million euros. More info: www.iei.coffee.
