FIPE – Federazione Italiana Pubblici Esercizi – will present at HostMilano a privileged Observatory on digital innovation in the restaurant and bar sector. This trend can no longer be ignored.

55% of restaurants still do not use order management apps or software, only 34% have adopted inventory management software and only 31% use e-invoicing tools. Moreover, it is estimated that only 22% of restaurants have purchases, suppliers, tables and work management software and that only 4% of restaurant businesses have apps for ordering and paying, concluding that 56% of restaurants still do not use tools for managing the internal processes.

During the days of the Milan Fair, the FIPE "laboratory" will present best practices, reports, meetings, workshops and sector’s innovative services that will illuminate a path, that of digitalisation, still to be developed in the bar and restaurant field.

Equipment, advanced checkouts, payment systems, apps and digital menus are the condition sine qua non to create a bridge between innovation and tradition, allowing companies to develop their business by increasing knowledge and customer reachability.

A profound shift in business processes which, by leveraging on technology and digitalisation, will enable the represented businesses, from restaurant to entertainment, to be more competitive, more efficient, and, above all, faster in change management.
