VIII° GRAN PREMIO DELLA CAFFETTERIA ITALIANA 2023

The Gran Premio della caffetteria italiana was founded in 2009 with the aim of enhancing the barista in the cafeteria and coffee products on a national and international level, taking into consideration the methodologies for the preparation of coffee and its derivatives, recognized by the Accademia Italiana Maestri del caffè, while also promoting enogastronomic italian products.

 

Baristas, bartenders, and cafeteria workers operating in the country, as well as baristas who derive from other Aicaf member nations (Croatia, Morocco, Mexico) may participate in the competition.

 

The competition consists of:

 

- Set up and prepare your workstation;

 

- Prepare in 13 minutes of competition: 2 cappuccinos - 2 espressos - 2 cold coffee drinks with an Italian enogastronomic product in them.

 

- Rearrange one's workstation. Clear out/disassemble the workstation

 

The contest will be spoken with presentation by the contestant of the products developed, in addition to any interview done by the contest host.

 

After several selections held around Italy, 15 baristas will compete in the semifinals at HOST on Oct. 13, and only 8 will advance to the finals the following day, where will be decreed the 2023 Best Italian Maestro del Caffé.
