On your marks, get set… go! All the last-minute details
We’re there: the 40th edition of HostMilano, opens its doors on Friday 20 October at Fieramilano Rho. Visitors can expect a richer and more exciting experience than ever this year, and also one that is more fluid and uniform, thanks to a number of new added features. The aim is to create a revamped experience which, along with all the sensory stimuli and opportunities to learn more about specific fields, will also include some small extras that will make the visit more pleasant and rewarding.
There are plenty of interesting things and surprises in store around the stands, and for the first time this year two worlds will be brought together in what is the big new feature of the 2017 edition: The Experience Gallery. A kind of event within an event and a new way of interpreting the crossovers between two alluring worlds that have much in common but are essentially quite different from one another: Ice Cream & Pastry and Coffee, which has been achieved by connecting halls 10 and 14. Visitors will see two particularly exciting “piazzas”, where coffee and ice cream will be presented in a highly elegant, stylish way.
The other big new feature is the Bus sponsored by Lavazza, a way of helping visitors get from one area to another. This shuttle will circulate inside the Rho fairground for the entire duration of the fair.
And the new Smart Catalog, which is even more accessible and easy to use this time round, will have details of all the new ideas that exhibitors are bringing to the fair. Another service that has now become indispensible, particularly for foreign visitors, is the availability of wi-fi, which will be free for everyone who has purchased their ticket online or pre-registered (which also offers a reduced rate) at http://host.fieramilano.it/en/pre-registration. The pre-registration and advance sale services will remain active right up until the last day of the fair, 24 October 2017.
If you have bought your ticket online, remember to print it or bring the smartphone version with QR code to get straight into the fair without needing to stand in line. So there are two options: pre-sale and pre-registration. With the pre-sale option, you purchase your ticket at a reduced rate online and go straight into the fair once you arrive. With pre-registration, you book your ticket at a discounted rate and purchase it when you arrive at the event. For any queries or problems, there is also a call centre operating Monday to Friday from 9am to 6pm. During the event itself, the call centre will also operate on Saturday and Sunday. Alternatively an email can be sent to: email@example.com.
