Tea Trends in Korea
This season it has all been about Earl Grey. You can see it on the shelves at convenience stores as milk tea lattes. You’ll see it as a bubble tea flavor and in cakes, eclairs, and chou cream puffs. However, green tea is the perennial favorite and swings into and out of flavor all the time. In Korea, you can get green tea lattes, green tea shakes, green “teatinis” (A green tea infused cocktail), green tea pork, seaweed, ice cream, snack cakes and of course, local green tea. Citron Tea was popular before that and in winter, fruit-infused teas, like grapefruit, become popular.
