Un caffè in Veneto
By Andrej Godina
After the success of the volume "Un caffè in Toscana", Andrej Godina, international coffee expert, returns with a new chapter in Italy's coffee book series “Un caffè in Veneto”: stories, excellence and itineraries to tell the great work, passion and quality that there is behind a single cup of coffee in this region. Starting from the "coffee production countries", the book tells "how and when coffee arrives in Veneto" and "the history of Italian espresso". The look is then clenched on the region: a look at the historical venues of Venice and Padua and then the long story of families, companies and the most beautiful places (Astoria, Bristot, Carraro, Dersut, Diemme, Elektra, Hausbrandt, Julius Meinl, Keber, Macap, Mazzer, Vescovi and Pinarello, which does not make coffee but the bicycles used to trace the tourist routes of the book).
The book continues with tips on "how to recognize a quality coffee", "curiosity about coffee" and "how to buy, prepare and have a specialty coffee at home. Finally, a biography of the author and a dozen tourist itineraries to discover coffee in Veneto (for example: one in single speed bikes in Padua, one in Venice, one in Treviso-Cortina d'Ampezzo with a racing bike, one in Bassano del Grappa-Treviso, one in MTB at Cortina d'Ampezzo, one by car, etc.).
The book, in Italian and English language version will be premiered at Host Milano on Sunday 22 October at 2:30 pm (Exihs area - Hall 11, furniture sector) in company of the author, specialized journalists and companies told in the book.
