By IN/ARCH- Italy’s National Institute of Architecture, IN/ARCH Lombardia, the Faculty of Architecture at the Università degli Studi Roma Tre, Gambero Rosso, Artribune and Archilovers, Host - Fiera Milano and with the patronage of the ADI - Associazione per il disegno Industriale
Pav. 10, EXIHS area
Taking in a vast range of cultural, civil, professional and business-oriented stakeholders, the raison d’etre of this Award is to promote the design and architecture of spaces earmarked for catering, delivery and retail of wine and food-related products and hospitality, with a special focus on fitting in to the landscape and the interior design of bars, restaurants, hotels, hostels, residences, bed and breakfasts, farmhouse accommodation and, in general, hospitality-related structures.
The Award and its special mentions seek to raise the profile of buyers and designers who have built the most interesting and innovative works – projects that blend in to their environment and are outstanding examples of architecture and interior design. In consequence, the Award seeks to promote high-standard new builds and refurbishments to encourage the private sector to make this kind of investment.
Winners of the event held this year for the second time:
Five projects realized over the last three years (between 1 January 2012 and 22 June 2015) in Italy and abroad by Italian designers.
Carrying on from the first edition of the Award, businessmen who have helped make these projects a reality are also eligible for these awards.
Three projects to do with interior design objects, materials and components that have yet to find a manufacturer in the category dedicated to design.
The prize-giving ceremony will be held at 11:30am on Saturday 24 October as part of the Host Milano International Hospitality Exhibition.
