Chef of the Year

The Cuoco dell’Anno (Chef of the Year) is one of the most important national competitions held by the Federazione Italiana Cuochi (Italian Federation for Chefs). It has been organised for more than 10 years by the Unione Cuochi Regione Lombardia (Chef’s Union of the Lombardy Region), and it calls for a hot dish to be prepared in 6 portions.
This dish is prepared before an attentive jury that looks not only at how the dish is in terms of taste and visual aspect. The jury also looks at the techniques used, pertinence to the theme, cleanliness and efficient use of ingredients. The Chef of the Year must be the best in all areas to be evaluated.
