CAKE DESIGNER WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP
THE WORLD TROPHY OF PASTRY ICE CREAM CHOCOLATE

For five days, from 23 to 27 October, Italy’s national pastry making and cake design team will compete with 30 other national teams in tests of artistic skill and taste, in a bid to win the World Trophy of Pastry Ice-cream Chocolate and the Cake Designer World Championship. The pastry chefs will compete in three categories: pastillage sugar sculpture and single ice-cream portion, chocolate and praline sculpture, and sugar sculpture and modern cake. The cake design teams will have to demonstrate the various techniques that can be applied to sugar paste, without neglecting the taste of the cake, which should reflect the tradition of the chef’s country and culture.
As a corollary to the championships, top experts in cake-making will be giving demonstrations in a performance of outstanding artistic skill.
